When I Feel Tossed Around or Uneasy (Psalm 1)

Father God, help me not feel tossed around or uneasy. Help me not feel unsteady or unsure. Help me feel secure in You. I think I see the answer for this in this Psalm, and in Psalm 1. Here I read to meditate on the Torah night and day. This grows deep roots and prevents me from feeling like I am wilting or being tossed around or blown away by a wind. It says here if I do have the sensation of being blown away by the wind, it's because I am wicked and a sinner. Who is the wicked? One who does not do what God says. Psalm 1 tells the cure for the wicked: meditate on the Torah night and day. And this helps us dig deep roots that help us not feel parched, to produce fruit, be successful in all we do, and not be tossed around by the wind. How can I feel strong and stable? By being in the Torah and meditating on it. This also helps me remain righteous and not be or act like the wicked. Adonai, help me to remember this and told live Psalm 1 whenever I feel uneasy and unsteady, tossed aroun...

Success (a prayer; Psalm 1)

Lord, I want to be successful. Successful for Your kingdom. What does this look like? How is this achieved? Psalm 1 answers this question. Success is achieved by meditating (thinking on; pondering; contemplating) on Your Torah night and day. In order to do that, that means I need to be in Your Torah constantly so I can know what it says and do what it says as I meditate on it all the time. And what is the Torah? It is the first five books of Your Word: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. It is the Law and Books of Moses. But more importantly it is instruction for life (for living the best life). Success is found here in Your Torah and meditating on it night and day. Help me live this. I want to be a success for Your and Your kingdom. I want to be fruitful. I want to point to You and to Yeshua Messiah in all I do and bring You glory.

Thank You for Not Giving Up on Me

Thank You, Adonai, for not giving up on me. For being persistent in guiding and instructing me so I can be prepared and learn fully of Your purpose for me. The truth is, I am so much a sinner... And have gotten sidetracked so many times... That the only thing I deserve is death (Romans 6:23). But You have forgiven me of much. Oh, so much. Thank You. Thank You for not giving up on me, even when I have given up on myself so many times. Thank You for Your love. Thank You for the road we have taken and are taking. I am Your willing vessel. Use me. I just want to bring You glory and point everyone to Yeshua. Thank You.

Shabbat Shalom (a prayer for rest)

Read Genesis 2:1-3. Adonai, the day of rest, Shabbat (Sabbath), is something You did not just say to do, but You led by example and did it Yourself. And You did it on a specific day, which we call Saturday. You, God, did this and told us to do this. Thank You for this holy and sacred day to remember You, focus on You, and rest. This is Your day and it must be set apart. In fact, it is so holy and important that we are to honor and celebrate it fifty-two times per year. It is a day of no ordinary work. To You be the glory, honor, power, and praise.

A Prayer for Worship Service

Holy, Holy, Holy and Eternal One. You are the Name above all names. You are the Most High King. You are the Most High God. There is none like You. You alone are God and I praise You. Bless our worship tonight. May we draw close to You, confess our sins, repent, and learn from the message. Help us apply the message to our lives. Bring us unity as a Body and in You. We want to know You more and bring You the glory. We want to share the Good News and point everyone to Yeshua Messiah. Help us learn more about You and Him tonight. Help us to worship You in a deeper and more meaningful way this evening. Protect us from evil. Keep us from temptation and let us not sin.  Help us remain in You and in Your Word, and do what Your Word says. Help us live the purpose You have for us as a congregation and individually as believers. Help us trust in Your more this evening and draw nearer. Thank you for this opportunity to join together and worship You in one accord. Thank You for filling us with ...

A Prayer Warrior Prayer

God, You have asked me to be a prayer warrior and stand in the gap. Can You teach me (show me, instruct me) about what that means? I want to pray what You want me to pray and how You want me to pray. I am a blank canvas. Use me. I literally have on idea how to be a prayer warrior. Whenever I think I have an idea, I seem to stop praying, get sidetracked, and so forth. Therefore, I will do and pray whatever You say, whenever You tell me. Open my ears, mind, and heart, to hear You and each of your promptings for prayer.

Help Me Make My Life a Prayer (a prayer)

Abba, help me to pray so much...  And pray so often... In every moment... Throughout the day... Every single day... For the rest of my life... That my life is one constant, never-ending prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:17). Let this be my life's aim, goal, and purpose.

A Current Events Prayer for Israel 3

Adonai, the terrorists released the names of the hostages they are releasing tomorrow. They did not fulfill the obligations of the ceasefire agreement. Then, to make matters worse, one of the four is someone who did not survive (all four were to be alive). Lord... Help. Comfort Your people (Isaiah 40). Comfort the families. Help the hostages that are being released. There are so many gut-wrenching things here... so many bad possibilities. But, You are still God and are in control. We trust You. None of this is a surprise to You. Help Your people. Help these families and loved ones. Help these hostages. Show how You are God through this, Lord. Let there be no doubt.

When Things Happen (a prayer about challenges)

Father God, I needed to go to my hair appointment, which had been delayed once as I have been ill. I am still not feeling the best but wanted to go and get that done. It would make me feel better. The battery in my car is dead. This is a head-scratcher. I also just heard some bad news about the hostage release. And I realize I still am not over this illness. Things are happening and they are not great happenstances. Ugh. Help, Lord. But I trust You. There are reasons for all of this. Be glorified through these challenges.

Advice and Wisdom (a prayer)

Holy One, help me to not trust in human advice but to trust in Your wisdom, prompting, leading (direction; guidance) (Psalm 20:8). Help me seek Your wisdom from above (James 3) and avoid the advice or wisdom of earth or from the enemy. Advice and wisdom from anyone but You can be biased and faulty. Help me to turn to You and Your Word first for answers. And when I get answers from You and Your Word, help me to do what You say. If I still feel unsure, then help me seek a constant Bible-focused, prayerful, and biblical-living person of God to make sure I am correct in my understanding. After all, I need to be very careful whom and what I allow to speak into my life. If it does not match You and what You say, I shall not do it. I want to seek your wisdom above all others. Help me to do so. I also am fully aware that if I am in Your Word everyday, and read the Bible through every year, then I am far more equipped to know what You want me to do because I am fresh in the Word and it is more ...

Restlessness and Noise (a prayer)

Rock, Strength, Infinite One, the God Most High, help me. I am feeling restless and am not sure why. I am having difficulty focusing on You, Your Word, and on prayer. I feel a loudness, a noise, inside and I am not sure why. Am I feeling uneasy because You are stirring me to pray? Whenever I get this feeling, I usually have the sense that this is the case. It's a sense that something could happen or is happening. Will You tell me what to pray and help me to pray? How can I draw closer and nearer to You so I do not feel this way? Lead me, God. What would you have me do? Please help me stop feeling uneasy and restless, unless it is a continual reminder to pray. Thank You for this restlessness. It's allowing me to seek You and listen. It's helping give me the want to pray, for I feel the need to pray because of the restlessness and noise.

Help Me Keep My Focus on You, Lord (a prayer)

Eternal One, help me to keep my focus (attention; thoughts) on You. Help my thoughts not to drift. You are above all and are the best for me to think on and focus. Help me keep my mind (thoughts), heart, eyes, and ears tuned in to You and to everything of You. Help me to not give in to the noise of this world and the things that keep me from what matters most (You). You tell me to think on only certain things (Philippians 4:8) and to take my thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5), where I focus my thoughts on You and Your Word. Help me turn to the things above (Colossians 3:1-2), rejoice always (Philippians 4:4), pray about everything (Philippians 4:6), give thanks for everything (Philippians 4:6), and meditate (ponder; contemplate; think on) on Your Word day and night (Psalm 1:2). After all, if I live these things, then I will keep my mind and heart focused on You. The truth is, my thoughts can get me into trouble, or at least can get my attention off You. Help me seek to make You my f...

A Prayer for Trust in the Lord

Father God, I read Proverbs 3:5-6.  It says here to trust You with my entire heart. Lord, help me do so. Teach me how to trust You in this manner. Don't let me keep any piece of my heart from You. Help me to use all of my heart to trust You no matter what. And when I do so, this verse tells me to not trust in what I think I understand. Help me trust You even when it does not make sense. That in all I do, everywhere that I go, that I am to acknowledge You and turn my attention (mind and heart) to You. When I do these things, You will then make my way straight. Help me to grab hold of this verse with all I am and help me apply it to every situation. After all, You alone are trustworthy. Help me trust You and follow You in this manner. Help me live this verse.

A Prayer for My Husband

Adonai, I lift my husband up to You in prayer. But first of all, I cannot thank You enough for him. He is quite the blessing in my life. Use him, Lord. Let everyone who sees him see You, not him. Be glorified in and through him. Help him share Your love and the Good News. Protect his health (and all its facets). Keep him from harm and temptation. Help him be a living testimony of Your Torah and Word (all 66 books). Help him teach others the Messianic way point all to Yeshua. Help him feel fulfilled from his work and bring comfort, teaching, and strength when needed. Let there be more of You, less of him, in his life. Help him remain focused on You and living Your Word. Be glorified through my husband. May He grow closer to You by the minute. Thank you for my husband, for his work, and how he is the spiritual leader of our home. Help me be his helpmate and best one for him. May our marriage reflect You. Let him be a light in the dark places he walks.

What Do You Want Me to Pray (a prayer)

Abba, what do You want me to pray? And can You tell me how to pray and teach me? Can You give me the subjects and the words? I do not want to miss anyone or anything in my prayers. And the truth of the matter is, I really am clueless on how to pray. My prayers are lacking in so many ways. I cannot pray without You, Your help, Your direction, and Your words. So, can You please tell me what to pray and how to pray it, please? And can You do it every moment, please? I really can use Your help with prayer.  Thank You, Lord. Please work through me and in spite of me. I will try to say out of Your way and be open to Your leading and prompting.

Called to Be a Prayer Warrior and Stand in the Gap

I have been called to be a prayer warrior and stand in the gap. This is quite the honor and privilege. I am not like many. I have the time to pray all day long. The problem is how awful I am with prayer. I forget to pray. I get sidetracked easily. And need I mention how I am a sinner? My prayers are raw and real. They are nothing fancy. In fact, I pray simplistic prayers. Could God have called upon anyone more inept? I sincerely doubt it. I have tried to live this purpose throughout the years... throughout the decades as a matter of fact. But I often give up. I just do not think that I have it in me to be a prayer warrior. I am not polished. I do not pray fancy, pretty prayers loaded with Scripture references. I am a, "God, help" kind of gal. And yet, I keep trying. I have made the commitment to try to learn to pray and be the prayer warrior God has called me to be. He designed me (made me) the way I am for a reason. He has equipped me to pray. I have to trust in that and pro...

Surprises (a prayer about not the good kind of surprise)

Adonai, nothing is a surprise to You. Help me to remember that. Help me remember that surprises, not the good variety, are actually an opportunity to trust You and believe that everything will turn out for the best. After all, You are in control and You want nothing less than the best for me. Help me trust You more through this unexpected event. Help me to use this as a time to draw even nearer to You and to pray even more. Thank You for this surprise. I may not like it or want it, and it might not make sense, but I know You have Your purposes and I trust (believe in You; have faith in) You. To You alone be the glory. In the name of Yeshua (Jesus), I pray.

A Current Events Prayer for Israel 2

Father God, I just read on the news that Hamas has released the names of the four hostages that will be released tomorrow at 400 p.m. Israeli time.  Protect them. Put Your angels around them and protect them. Help them not be frightened or angry. Help them to be confident in You and give them shalom. Help them believe they really are going home. Let their release not be traumatizing to them. Prepare them to come back to the world, to their families and loved ones, and to learn all that has happened while they have been away.  Thank You in advance for their release. May their release go smoothly and may they embrace their family.  Help their families and loved ones be what they need, when they need it. Help them realize they are about to have a new beginning in which You and them hold the pen and they get to choose how to write the rest of the story. Give them total and complete healing as they gain in complete confidence in You and the Torah. You are the God who has never...

Purpose (a prayer of thanksgiving)

Thank You, Adonai, for the purposes You have for me and my life: Today, this week, this month, this year, this decade, and this life. Help me live them. I know how unworthy I am of Your purposes. I am finite, sinful, and deserve death. Yet, You use me. I am humbled. Thank You. Help me not get sidetracked and to stay on task from the purpose You have for me in the now. May all I do point to You and bring You glory. May everything I do share the Good News that Yeshua is Messiah (Jesus is the Savior and Redeemer). I love You, Lord. Let my life be Yours. Use me.

Thank You for Sunshine (a prayer of thanksgiving)

Adonai, thank You for the blessing of sunshine and showing me the light. Your sunshine holds promise of good and new things. Your light breaks through the darkness and yuck. Your light points to ideas and truth. It points to knowledge. Sunshine is needed for better moods, to help us see, to overcome the dark, and mark the day. Your light provides nutrients and life. Help me not take Your sunshine for granted. Help me not overlook it. Glory!

Sickness (a prayer)

God, I have been sick. You are Healer. Please heal me completely and soon. Help me trust (believe, have faith, have confidence) that You will.  Is there something You want to tell me? Is there something You want me to learn? Is there a reason for this period of stillness and quiet? Help me not miss anything that You might want me to get out of this situation. Thank You so much for healing me completely and soon. To You be the glory, honor, and praise! In the name of Yeshua.

Teach Me to Pray 1

God, teach me to pray. I pray as the twelve did in Luke 11:1. They say praying is easy. It's talking and listening to You. While that is true, I want to know a deeper and more effective way of praying. I want to pray with power and confidence in You. What does this look like? Yeshua (Jesus) gave us what we call the Lord's Prayer as an example of how to pray. Abba, thank You for this. But I feel like I am missing something. I am not always praying effectively and with confidence and power. I want my prayers to count and mean something as they point to You and what You do. I do not want to pray limited prayers. I want to pray in a deep relationship way. Help me have no doubt or uncertainty as I pray. After all, You can answer every prayer, if I trust You. Teach me to pray. I am your willing student.

What Would You Have Me Do, Lord? (A prayer for the moments)

Father God, guide me in this moment. What would You have me do? This moment belongs to You. All I want to do is seek You, do what You say, and show You my love. I want to live Your purpose in this moment. Do not let me miss it. How can I bring You glory and point to You in this moment? I pray this for every moment this day.

A Current Events Prayer for Israel

God of Israel, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, Maker and King of the universe, there is so much going on in Israel today, as has been since October 07, 2023. You are their God. Help them. Guide them. Bless them. Protect them.  They wait for news of what four hostages are going to be released tomorrow. And they wait the list to learn who of the remaining of the 26 are still alive. O, Lord. Help them. Guard, protect, and guide the hostages. Show them how You are still their God and there is none like You. Let them know without a doubt You are with them and put Torah in their minds and hearts to help them focus on You, the One who brings them shalom through every moment. Help them rely on You in a whole new way. You alone are their real, true, and only hope. Put Your angels around them to guard them. Be with the family and loved ones of the hostages. I pray they know You more and lean on You. Show them how You are still alive and active in their lives.  Prepare, guide, and pr...

Morning Prayer 1

Adonai, You alone are God and are worthy of glory, power, honor, and praise. You are the Most High God and King. You are the Eternal and Holy One. You are the God of Israel, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And You are the Creator. You are the Maker of the Universe. You make each day. There would not be a today if not for You. Hence, I would not have today if not for You. So today is Yours. I am ready to do, or not do, as You say each moment. I am Yours and want to do Your will and fulfill Your purpose as I love You and keep my focus on You as we do life today. Use me. I am a willing vessel and seek Your face and to bring You glory. Let every moment of my day point to You.  Thank You for this blessing and opportunity to love and serve You this day. I pray this for all my loved ones as well. In Yeshua's Name.
