A Prayer for Worship Service

-
Holy, Holy, Holy and Eternal One. You are the Name above all names. You are the Most High King. You are the Most High God. There is none like You. You alone are God and I praise You.

Bless our worship tonight. May we draw close to You, confess our sins, repent, and learn from the message. Help us apply the message to our lives.

Bring us unity as a Body and in You.

We want to know You more and bring You the glory. We want to share the Good News and point everyone to Yeshua Messiah. Help us learn more about You and Him tonight. Help us to worship You in a deeper and more meaningful way this evening.

Protect us from evil. Keep us from temptation and let us not sin. 

Help us remain in You and in Your Word, and do what Your Word says.

Help us live the purpose You have for us as a congregation and individually as believers.

Help us trust in Your more this evening and draw nearer.

Thank you for this opportunity to join together and worship You in one accord.

Thank You for filling us with Your presence, as You say that You inhabit the praises of your people (Psalm 22).

Help us know You even more.

Help us bless Israel.

Confessions of a Bible-nut

So I have another confession. I am a nut. With my favorite translation of the Bible. I am a walking storefront of my favorite version of the Bible. Want to see what possibilities there are? I have a thinline, medium print, large print, and giant print. The main Bible I have chosen, though, is the thinline, smaller print version because it is easy for me to carry and pace as I pray from it. It's also easy for me to carry it everywhere.

Do not be silent (at certain times)

There are times to be silent, like when we are with the Father. We need to listen far more than we speak. We miss out on much when we fail to hush and listen. (Sidenote: And isn't it funny/sad how we can say then how we are concerned because we haven't heard from the Lord?) However, there are times when we must not remain silent.
