When Things Happen (a prayer about challenges)

Father God, I needed to go to my hair appointment, which had been delayed once as I have been ill. I am still not feeling the best but wanted to go and get that done. It would make me feel better.

The battery in my car is dead. This is a head-scratcher.

I also just heard some bad news about the hostage release.

And I realize I still am not over this illness.

Things are happening and they are not great happenstances. Ugh. Help, Lord.

But I trust You. There are reasons for all of this. Be glorified through these challenges.

Confessions of a Bible-nut

So I have another confession. I am a nut. With my favorite translation of the Bible. I am a walking storefront of my favorite version of the Bible. Want to see what possibilities there are? I have a thinline, medium print, large print, and giant print. The main Bible I have chosen, though, is the thinline, smaller print version because it is easy for me to carry and pace as I pray from it. It's also easy for me to carry it everywhere.

Do not be silent (at certain times)

There are times to be silent, like when we are with the Father. We need to listen far more than we speak. We miss out on much when we fail to hush and listen. (Sidenote: And isn't it funny/sad how we can say then how we are concerned because we haven't heard from the Lord?) However, there are times when we must not remain silent.
