Morning Prayer 1

-

Adonai, You alone are God and are worthy of glory, power, honor, and praise. You are the Most High God and King. You are the Eternal and Holy One. You are the God of Israel, of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And You are the Creator. You are the Maker of the Universe.

You make each day. There would not be a today if not for You. Hence, I would not have today if not for You. So today is Yours.

I am ready to do, or not do, as You say each moment. I am Yours and want to do Your will and fulfill Your purpose as I love You and keep my focus on You as we do life today. Use me. I am a willing vessel and seek Your face and to bring You glory. Let every moment of my day point to You. 

Thank You for this blessing and opportunity to love and serve You this day.

I pray this for all my loved ones as well.

Confessions of a Bible-nut

So I have another confession. I am a nut. With my favorite translation of the Bible. I am a walking storefront of my favorite version of the Bible. Want to see what possibilities there are? I have a thinline, medium print, large print, and giant print. The main Bible I have chosen, though, is the thinline, smaller print version because it is easy for me to carry and pace as I pray from it. It's also easy for me to carry it everywhere.

Do not be silent (at certain times)

There are times to be silent, like when we are with the Father. We need to listen far more than we speak. We miss out on much when we fail to hush and listen. (Sidenote: And isn't it funny/sad how we can say then how we are concerned because we haven't heard from the Lord?) However, there are times when we must not remain silent.
