Advice and Wisdom (a prayer)

Holy One, help me to not trust in human advice but to trust in Your wisdom, prompting, leading (direction; guidance) (Psalm 20:8). Help me seek Your wisdom from above (James 3) and avoid the advice or wisdom of earth or from the enemy.

Advice and wisdom from anyone but You can be biased and faulty.

Help me to turn to You and Your Word first for answers. And when I get answers from You and Your Word, help me to do what You say.

If I still feel unsure, then help me seek a constant Bible-focused, prayerful, and biblical-living person of God to make sure I am correct in my understanding.

After all, I need to be very careful whom and what I allow to speak into my life. If it does not match You and what You say, I shall not do it.

I want to seek your wisdom above all others. Help me to do so.

I also am fully aware that if I am in Your Word everyday, and read the Bible through every year, then I am far more equipped to know what You want me to do because I am fresh in the Word and it is more active in me. Your Word is my guidebook for life and is the only advice I really need.

Thank You for always showing me the way and giving me advice, suggestions, instruction, and guidance. To You alone be the glory.
