The Hair Issues of a Menopausal Woman: A Story (hair loss and frizz)

This blog journal entry might be too much for some. However, if you are female and menopausal, this might be exactly what you're looking for to help you with your hair.

Let me give you my story and way of life and share some hope for other menopausal women with hair problems.

First, I am lazy and do not style my hair. Ever. I have more important things to do with my time. I like to keep things simple and no fuss. (And frankly don't really care. If you want to judge me about my hair, feel free to look at someone else.) I look presentable and that's well enough.

Now about my hair problems.

The fact I am writing this and talking about it should tell you something. I am the I-don't-care type about my hair. So the fact that I have these issues and want to share my story with others should tell you something. I don't want anyone else to have to go through these issues and not have solutions.

I was having a problem with hair fall (losing my hair; thinning hair) due to menopause.

I also kept getting frizzy hair.

Both issues weighed on me. In fact, I admit I have spent way too much money on hair products that were supposed to help with hair loss and frizz. And they didn't help. So I lost not only my hair but my money. (Ugh!)

I asked two different hair stylists what to do. They led me to more hair product. Spending more money. And they didn't work.

So I ended up doing my own research and learned that the hair products on the market, whether at the grocery store or at the expensive beauty store, were part of my problem. They actually made my hair fall and frizz worse. Figures.

Homemade hair products made of essential oils were the best to use (and save money). I really liked this idea when I read about it because it strips out all the chemicals in our world today and gets us back to biblical health and ways of life.

It took some trial and error, and some time, I won't lie. (Okay. Not some. A lot.) But now that I figured out what to make and how to use it for me and my hair, my hair is doing great. (Thank the Lord!) It's nice and healthy and is no longer falling out by the fistfuls. It's still a little flyaway but it doesn't look like I'm in an electrical storm any longer. My hair is growing faster and is quite healthy.

So, take a look at these recipes. They will bless you.

(Recipe list is coming. It's in the works.)
