Thanksgiving is...

Thanksgiving is praising God.

It is prayer.

It is a form of worship.

It is giving Adonai glory.

It is one of the best ways to fight spiritual warfare.

It is taking our eyes and focus from self and the world and is turning our gaze and focus on Him and eternity.

Thanksgiving is realizing that we are right where we should be.

Thanksgiving is the realization that if we are not grateful for what we have, who we have, and where we are at, then we will never be happy or pleased with more.

So, praise Him and give Him thanks all day long.

Confessions of a Bible-nut

So I have another confession. I am a nut. With my favorite translation of the Bible. I am a walking storefront of my favorite version of the Bible. Want to see what possibilities there are? I have a thinline, medium print, large print, and giant print. The main Bible I have chosen, though, is the thinline, smaller print version because it is easy for me to carry and pace as I pray from it. It's also easy for me to carry it everywhere.

Do not be silent (at certain times)

There are times to be silent, like when we are with the Father. We need to listen far more than we speak. We miss out on much when we fail to hush and listen. (Sidenote: And isn't it funny/sad how we can say then how we are concerned because we haven't heard from the Lord?) However, there are times when we must not remain silent.
