What do you do when you do not know what to pray (when there's so much going on in the news)?

That's a very good question. I won't lie. I am struggling with this, and am in a big way at the moment.

I'll admit that this is part of the reason why I am here again, doing journaling on this blog. I realize I am likely not the only one who is struggling in this area. Especially today.

Why do I say that? It's because there's so much going on in the news. First, there are protests tomorrow (2,000+) all across the US. Then, Israel's operation against Iran that started last night and continues today. And a friend is on the road traveling.

For the last few days, there has been unrest and my soul has been sensing that we need to pray.  Then last night happened.

I am just really stirred to grab hold of my Bible, to open it, and pray, pray, pray. To stand on His promises. To remember what He has told us that is to come and to be prepared. How do we get prepared? By being in the Word, doing what it says, and pray, pray, pray. To be engaged with Him. By drawing in.

So what do we pray now? When there is so much going on in the news?

First, we need to remember the battle is the Lord's (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Then, praise Him and thanksgiving. This is always the best way to pray. Worship Him. I also tend to get in the Psalms.
