Truth, lies, distraction, etc., in the news and social media

The news and social media are facts of lives in 2025. They both exist. And they are both faulty. And they both have some benefits.

I find it interesting trying to pick my way through the truth, lies, deceptions, distractions, and manipulation.

Then to make matters worse, people that report things on the news and social media do so at different speeds. This only complicates matters, let's be honest. If someone reports on something before everyone else, it could be a lie or it very well could be truth. But the same goes. If something is reported on later, not taking the latest events into account that re happening real-time, then that reported information could appear false when it could be truthful.

Sigh.

It's a mess.

And I thank God for prayer and His discernment. This is the only way to rightly handle the news and social media: Lots and lots of prayer. (Oy and aye.)
