Why is it

Why is it that we are so apt to realize we are not happy, peaceful, joyful, content, and fill in the blank, but we are so quick to avoid what we should be doing in order to rectify the problem?

Why is it that we always want to live a life of purpose and/or meaning, but we are so quick to avoid what we should be doing in order to rectify the problem?

Why is it that we choose our own way because we want to be independent and self-reliant and yet we are not living purposeful lives every moment?

Why is it we choose noise over what really matters? (And the noise is: TV, games, reading a book, listening to a book or podcast, doing social media, etc.)

Why is it we wonder why we are not where or whom we want to be?

Why is it we want the easy way, when it leads to everything lesser?

Why is it we only turn to the Lord, and/or His Word (the Scriptures; the Bible) when it is convenient?

Why is it we say we believe and trust the Father but we make Him last, or certainly not first, most moments?

Why is it we think a verse a day is enough?

Why is it we think a devotional reading a day is enough?

Why do we think it is okay to read Christian-living or reference books over going straight to the source, God and the Bible itself?

Why is it we watch videos or listen to messages, sermons, teachings online and do not go to God and the Bible directly and primarily?

Why is we do not think on and pray through the messages we receive at our congregation or church primarily and all through the week?

Why is it we say we believe and yet we still do what the world does?

Why is it we say we believe but our lives do not show it?

Why is it we are not doing what God says? What the Bible says?
