Hanukkah and Christmas

Happy Hanukkah and Merry Christmas.

This is one of the four times in the last 100 years that the two observances have aligned on the same day.

It's not an accident that this is happening in 5785 and 2024. While we might not understand the significance, God does.

Regardless, let us stand together in Jesus (in Yeshua) as the Saturday and Sunday believers.

I pray your day is blessed and sacred as we draw close to God (Adonai) and search the Scriptures this day and enjoy time with loved ones.

Confessions of a Bible-nut

So I have another confession. I am a nut. With my favorite translation of the Bible. I am a walking storefront of my favorite version of the Bible. Want to see what possibilities there are? I have a thinline, medium print, large print, and giant print. The main Bible I have chosen, though, is the thinline, smaller print version because it is easy for me to carry and pace as I pray from it. It's also easy for me to carry it everywhere.

Do not be silent (at certain times)

There are times to be silent, like when we are with the Father. We need to listen far more than we speak. We miss out on much when we fail to hush and listen. (Sidenote: And isn't it funny/sad how we can say then how we are concerned because we haven't heard from the Lord?) However, there are times when we must not remain silent.
